Hamid Ali

Independent AI Analyst & Software Engineer

I've spent 10+ years building software products and the last 3 years deep in AI tooling—building with it, evaluating it, and watching vendors promise things their products can't deliver. ToolIntel exists because I got tired of seeing buyers make $50K decisions based on marketing pages.

Why I Started This

In 2024, I watched three companies in my network buy AI tools based on flashy demos and regret it within months. One spent $120K on an "enterprise AI assistant" that couldn't reliably handle basic tasks. Another signed a 2-year contract for a tool that had undisclosed data retention practices.

The problem wasn't that these tools were bad. The problem was that no one was doing the due diligence these buyers needed—not the analysts (who get paid by vendors), not the tech blogs (who get paid by ads), and definitely not the vendors themselves.

I started ToolIntel to be the reviewer I wished existed: independent, methodical, and completely unaffiliated with the companies I evaluate.

My Commitment

Every review on this site is written by me. Not a team. Not freelancers. Me. This means:

  • Slower publication schedule (quality over quantity)
  • Complete accountability—if a review is wrong, it's my fault
  • No hidden editorial influence or investor pressure
  • Direct contact: you can reach me, not a support team

Full disclosure: I pay for every tool I review at the tier being evaluated. I have no financial relationships with any AI vendor. I do not accept sponsored content, affiliate payments, or "partnership" offers. See the Conflict of Interest Policy for details.
